I been concerned also about what to feed my guy. I was stuffing freeze dried earthworms, krill and hikari pellets in fillets of salmon and tilapia the last few months.

Now i been trying to feed whole fish i been buying live and freezing from my local bait store.

My biggest issue is when he gets hungry he goes crazy when I come near his tank and the other day he jumped and smashed his head on the top trying to grab his dinner. I decided to lower the water level even lower on his tank.

lowering the tank might not help help alot. From what i've noticed, my armatus HATES pellets stuffed fillets. It smashes his head against the glass after i feed him that. He also stopped eating for a month and half after that incident.

Anybody know if the live saltwater feeders at bait stores would have parasites in them.
I bought a half dozen giant ones and froze them. I was thinking since they were saltwater silver sides they would be fine.

feeders for that long? How come?
This is why...

so one more question...while starving the armatus in order to get them on non live foods, is it normal for them to turn on each other because now i have 2 of my 3 armatus w one injured eye.
Yes, it's normal.. They will eat each other, too, not just injure each other.

I heard saltwater parasite won't survive in freshwater
