You can't sonar underwater caves, there's tons of them down there.

If we cant sonar them how do we know how many there are? And to an extent sonar can tell us if there are caves based on isolated sound waves returning later than the bulk of the waves fromt he initial ping

The only thing that makes 0,1% of me have a slight belief in cryptids.. Why do they look so alike? With some cryptids it is easy, eg people are scared of snakes so most sea monsters are depicted as giant, snake-like creatures. But, Nessie and Mokele-Mbembe for example are both often described as a creature similar to a plesiosaurus, several thousand miles away from each other.
