Looking to see if there are better alternative foods for my bichirs. As of now i have 1 endli 7" and 1 ornate 6". Both eat frozen silversides and krill regularly. They seem to be happy but if anyone has suggestions for different foods that would be cool. Thanks.

Massivore pellets, tilapia and earthworms! That's all I ever feed mine.

I feed, tilapia, shrimp pellets (for some of my smaller guys), occasionally shrimp, scallops, beefheart, sometimes small mollys from my fry tank, earthworms, silversides, and i've tried krill but lol my guys just don't like it for some reason.
Mine have grown so used to Massivore, that when I give them Tilapia, that they are very slow to eat it. They get it 2-3 times a week but don't really care.
Where do you guys get your earthworms? Could I use red worms from Walmart?

The red worms are OK but nightcrawlers are generally more nutritious as I understand it. Usually pet stores or fishing stores sell those as well. (They have them at Petland in the middle of Manhattan so they can't be too rare!)
