For the past two days, one by one my bass dies. The others are ok. I now only have 4 bass ranging from 3.5"-5.5" and two 3" dats in the 180g. these guys were expensive at the lfs. Are bass that hard to care for in comparison with other freshwater fish? Need help please.

If anyone else has gone through this unpleasant surprise please educate me. These guys have been in the 180g tank over 5 weeks and all of a sudden this? Other fish tanks i changed same water on are fine big and small without even using water conditioner...

Check the water parameters. What kind of filtration and aeration? What are you feeding them? Sorry for the lost. Pbass are pretty hardy especially captive breed.

Usually they go after the sticks right away after i come home from work at night. Tonight, after i removed the biggest one the rest are at the bottom not paying attention to the sticks. Only one if the two dats are paying attention. In the past i caught regular 12" monos from the lake and gave to my friends pond and less than a week they died. If they are dying one at a time day after day wonder if its some virus that i need to buy medicine for. So sad after a long day at work all i want to do is look at my gold Bahias and my biggest one dies from another one dying yesterday. :sigh:

Your filter is not established if it's only 3 weeks old. Trickle with bio balls IMO take longer. Pretty sure your nitrite is high. Please confirm.
