raw shrimps is still more nutritious than blood worms. I am ok if he get hooked on raw shrimps or tilapia.

Frozen blood worm is more easy to work with once you get a fish feeding on it as you can soak pellets or prawn in the blood worm over night

Yeah thats what I did with my ITs. But they wouldn't touch the frozen worms to begin with. Only live wriggly ones. Gradually added more frozen to the live till it was just frozen.

Do any of his tankmates hit the food you drop in hard? My dat only eats what my puffer eats, cause my baby mbu goes hard. I know you got clown loaches and such but its better when the fish make a huge ruckus. The main thing is them not knowing its food right? I might have missed something, but why not throw in a couple fish that hit the prawns hard and maybe he'll follow. I'm no expert wouldn't hurt to try if you haven't, I know your dats may be too aggressive but maybe find a cheap alternative for sake of feeding and bring back to your lfs.

Holy crap that guy is thin, makes me nervous about buying one. This is going to sound odd but have you tried tying a little piece of tilapia to some fishing line and dragging it around the tank? that way he will see the tilapia as food?

Good luck with him

Zap-I have 6 baby clown loaches and a gold gourami plus a pleco. They hit the food hard when it goes in the tank. My dat will respond by swimming by the food but won't eat.

Arch-I have not try the fishing line method but I doubt it works cuz he eats from the bottom.
