as promised- UPDATE of Armatus & TATF??

Here are a few pictures of the characins.


The Tatf is in a dark tank in the garage, and is so hard to get decent pictures of him... He is extremely slow growing. He is 6-6.5" or so and HATES a camera, heck i think he hates me too..
Ill try to get a better picture, or a video with a real camera soon, so I.D. will be a little easier.

Armatus on the other hand is a beast, growing like a weed. The Bd leo is around 11-12" diameter disc to give you an idea of his size.

Small..lol

Those SD's are about 6.5-7", pretty big for thin bars. No he fangs them regularly. I have a SD that is missing an eye from a ray, and he gets too close to the army with his blind side, and is always getting stuck... poor guy. lol
I saw him fang a geo the other day, and he was carrying it around on his fang, but no serious injury's yet. The geos are 10-11" maybe more.

I just love armatus, and swore i would never buy another, but man they are awesome fish... WORTH it IMO.

I have one growing out now, and i am trying to gage what i can mix with him eventually. no problem with the rays?

Rays can be a huge problem with army's. I would not attempt unless the army is bigger than the rays.

really.... hmm. My brown rays live with a tat that is smaller then them now no problems. I was hoping to keep the army with my blacks once the big tank is up and running, but i guess i will have to do some more research.

Army looks great, one thing about them is I wont have to wait nearly as long for my trio to grow out big enough for the rays.
Do you have the Tiger on pellets, it does make a difference in growth. Curious to see how he grows out and if he is a true TATF. Where did you get him from?
