Dude Suwannee bass is still subtropical not a cold water fish. NJ waters in the winter get colder than Suwannee River in the winter.

Yeah im just saying it may be a bit colder than we expect. Can i bring the bass inside maybe when it hits 50?

Maybe you shouldn't get these bass if you are not being serious about their wellness or toying around them to see if they can handle freezing water temperatures.

And put them in where?

His overstocked tank silly!

I would put him in a Rubbermaid stock tank obviously. And FYI I am selling some of my fish in that tank.

fish042099 I think its a great Idea to try and breed Redeye and Suwannee bass for sale as pets, I think it can be done and Im glad your doing the research before you give it a whirl. Don't listen to these guys their just being jerks....its always easier to try and tear somebody elses ideas and dreams down than it is to start your own. Tell all to Kiss your BASS and show'em by making it work....I would contact screenname Centrarchid at Nanfa forum.....hes an expert at breeding centrarchids.

Or just being realistic.....and it don't looks like he is doing a proper research on these species either. Just stating the facts. So kiss my bass, Warmouth.

So why not start to set up the ponds and the tanks before get the bass? Instead of get bass first then set up ponds later?

You should think about starting with one species instead of 3. They do get pretty big and they will more likely spawn for you in a less crowded pond, 300 gallons isn't that big. If you start with four fish most likely you will end up with at least one male and one female. Even if your experiment doesn't go well you would of learned from the experience. You can do all the research you want, but you will never know until you go through the steps yourself. I saw on aqua bid someone selling red eye bass. The pictures of the bass were from a pond. I am not sure if they were wild bass or pond breed. If you can find the ad see where the seller is from it might give you more insight on temperture.
