Army looks great, one thing about them is I wont have to wait nearly as long for my trio to grow out big enough for the rays.
Do you have the Tiger on pellets, it does make a difference in growth. Curious to see how he grows out and if he is a true TATF. Where did you get him from?

My tiger does not, i havent really even tried anything but tilipia, or smelt. i guess i should.

No i stopped feeding smelt, i was feeding it occasionally. He eats tilipia. He will eat 1/2-3/4 of a large filet daily. He always has a fat belly.
He hasn't really had any feeding issues. I feed the tank just about every day, and he eats almost every time. Sometimes the eel will get to the food before him, and he may miss out, but not too often. When he is hungry, he greets me at the glass ready to hit whatever i throw in.

truthfully im scared every single day something bad will happen. So far doing good tho, but getting to the dreadful size where problems happen.

I been feeding mine wild caught frozen sardines, striped trevally and mackerel along with tilapia stuffed with hikari. Are all sardines considered smelts?

Love the armatus keep. What's your take on them starting to have issues around this size? Do you think it's mainly getting spooked and hitting their head or do you think there's something else to it?

Whats the issue with smelt? Is there some reason not to feed it? Got a couple pounds of lake smelt left over from the rays not liking it and planned on using it for the armatus when larger.
