Ultimate aquarium related job

Although not directly in the aquarium field I went from keeping aquariums as a kid to majoring in water science, which lead to working in a drinking water purification plant as filtration specialist, and chemist/microbiologist. It allowed me to do research on fractionation, algae, bacteria and other pathogenic water phages
It afforded me access to the latest technology for water analysis, and filtration techniques, and as an important side note, a job with health insurance and "moderate" pay. I worked with filters that took 55,000 gallons just to clean, and yearly assays on 32 like the one below.

Breeder or LFS owner would both be good. Prior because you get to tinker and try new species/methods. Later because you get to excite more people about the hobby and have an impact at least locally.

I was a biologist at a major aquarium which was fun too. Eventually they turn into maintenance accounts you have little control over.

the equivalent of Jane goodall.... I hate the word "job"... but if I could do anything that would equal a job in the industry... I've always been fascinated with animal "society" social interactions.. what really is going on in their brains. So field research... I'm not a fan of labs.. but watching and learning studying them in their natural habitat or how they react in captivity to things ect.. yep I'de be in my glory and get up early for work every day...

I would say own a fish store and have plenty of money that you don't need to sell anything .

You guys realize that there's like, no money in the LFS business? This is not a way to get yourself rich or even likely live particularly comfortably. Most around the country are closing down.

Its not directly aquarium related but id love Jeremy wades job , chasing river monsters all day :D
