Hi I was wondering if anyone has any information or personal review on the company Glass Cages (www.glasscages.com).

I'm looking to buy a 240g (72x30x25) no drilled or anything just a standard rectangle.

The tank is $1019 with top glass lids/hinges included.
Shipping is 120, not directly to my house BUT only 40 minutes away.
Total = 1139 dollars

I filled out a ticket thing last night at 11 o'clock at night and added a few questions too and by 10 this morning they already called me and seemed really nice and was informative.

The price to me seems good... tanks in my local stores cost 1300+ and max out at 150 gallons. Craigslist is no help either people don't sell big tanks I've been looking all year, plus I want NEW, I want to be proud of this tank and know the history of it.

So I guess my whole thing is.... has anyone shopped with them? Got pictures of your tank or how it was when you picked it up?

I think I'm going with them.! After looking at the "Customer pics" page they have they look good to my standards! I also seen while lookung at the pics is Hans uses them for all this tanks, http://discus-hans-usa.com and he confirmed it as well.

Sweet! I honestly think their tanks are going to be good. The prices are awesome too. Most of the "bad rating" I've read was either A) Rude phone person B) too much silicone or "extra" on the sides, and like I said the woman on the phone for me seemed really nice and was helpful.
 
I am working with them on a 130X30X24. They are very responsive and WOW can't believe the price! My only gripe isn't their fault. They can't deliver a tank that big and it will have to go on a freight line. I haven't got a quote on that yet. Good luck with yours.
 
They are average quality tanks and dang sure good enough, however they use 1/2" acrylic for tanks larger than some of the higher end companies who use 3/4". No big deal for a 6' 240 though. You should be pleased. Their prices do rock too, partially due to the thinner acrylic. Good luck with the purchase.

HAHA! Dude you had the same problem! That's what she was helping me with, they won't ship a 240 either you have to get it at an access point.

m8r8j, I believe like 45g, mainly because in order to ship enough aquariums to people they would have to drive ALL over the tarnation and that just means more time a big aquarium is in the truck. I'm guessing their access points use good roads, dear lord I can only imagine them in a big truck hauling 30 aquariums + mine on bumpy house side streets. The woman didn't tell me that she just told me that "at that size we have to have are customers use are terminal points since shipping the aquarium directly would cost you an outrageous amount"

Trace, I think we are all going with Glass but I know what you mean.
 
Showed the wife their coffee table tank. She freaked a little bit. Thinking might have to go on a diy anniversary gift. Lol. Or breakdown for $300 +shipping.
