That 180 looks amazing. I am so tempted to sell my 2x48" V1's and get 2x72" v3's.

Thanks... I almost wish I would've went with a slightly smaller unit only because I'd like to have some dark corners. I'm def impressed with the light though. I hope they come out with a adjustable/Dimmable beams works unit, something similar to the current satellite freshwater LEDs. I'd be all over that.

My 225 is 72x27.5x27.5. And it it also black sand, black background and black stand and canopy...so a little extra lighting would be a good thing for me. And I agree with the dimmable/adjustable aspect, but for the price you still can't complain. Maybe the V4 will have that feature...lol

This thread convinced me to buy these Beamswork LEDs!

I have a 8x2x2 240g tank and I'm going to buy 2 36" Freshwater Bright lights for it. I have datnoids and a bichir and I want to have darker areas around the sides of the tank for them. These are the lights I'm looking to get: http://www.aquatraders.com/LED-Aquarium-Lighting-Freshwater-Bright-p/56283.htm. Thanks for all the good tips in this thread about these lights.

My tank is 6' long x 3' wide x 21" high. How well do the Beamworks lights cover front to back? I tried a Marineland single bright 36" led on one half of the tank and most of the light was focused in the middle (front to back) of the tank. I currently have 2, single bulb 36" fluorescent light strips that cover all of the tank. Wondering if Beamworks spread the light out as well as fluorescent tubes?
