Again Ryan I think maybe you and i are talking about different problems all together with the same result Ultimately I have never had trouble with cichla Oscar Uaru And many others at a young stage in life Ever!!!! with line disease But I am Now !!!!!!Does that make me better then another guy NOOOO!!!! Or worse NOOOO!!!!So come on Let's see what kind of result we can get!!!!:):):)

Also for some guy to say good water no problem !!!!! Is Like a fart in the wind it's a nothing statement!!!

And Ya Ryan i think it's a whole different world when Cichla reach their full size and potential a different game altogether!!!!

Hello Hello Hello Hello sure is quiet I am all ears Ryan Ya got some answers for us Cuz i tell ya i am just steamin about what i have done to her:irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly:

I'm not sure what you mean, so please correct me if i'm wrong.

We're talking about different problems with the same result? So wouldn't that make this thread totally irrelevant and futile? I'm assuming you're talking about the main question at hand here, which is: certain Cichla Sp. contract HITH vs. water quality and diet. It also sounds like you have a juvenile on your hands with HITH? Perhaps I missed the fine print, what is exactly going on with it, what are the details? I don't know what the whole better than the another guy thing is you mentioned but i'll assume you're talking about that making you look less professional as a hobbyist. Which I don't agree with the whole elitist aspect of this hobby honestly makes me laugh, lets not forget they are fish after all.

"Also for some guy to say good water no problem !!!!! Is Like a fart in the wind it's a nothing statement!!!"

Could you clarify this, because based off of what I interpreted you're stating that water quality makes no difference to Cichla because it's a disease they will get one way or another? I'm probably wrong so please restate this.

Lastly it seems like you said "And Ya Ryan i think it's a whole different world when Cichla reach their full size and potential a different game altogether!!!!" well in what way? On the keepers end or the fish? Personally it's going to be on your end as the hobbyist and not the fish. If anything the Cichla will become more hardy as they reach full size. The difference here, well the way that I see it, is that owners may not be as strict with the conditions per that reasoning.

Ok you've made your points and you are no longer helping the thread, move on please.

Hu had made a good point about no one wanting to come out on this because of all the know it all, I'm better than you, if you don't see it my way your wrong, people that just love to troll or bash. Now I see his point as clear as day, and don't blame him. I can say with a few others Hu is one of the best most devoted cichla keepers around and if his fish can get it, it can happen to anyone with "perfect water".

I beg to differ, it's the way you're looking at my posts. They are all written with good intentions, in this case to help figure out the leading cause of HITH in Cichla.

Honestly, what kind of person would do such a thing, on a fish keeping forum at that! I really would love some insight from Seiichi Hamada or Michael Boettner, being light years ahead of our current progresses.

Do your homework before posting. That would save a lot of arguing. Both Seiichi and Boettner have HITH problems too. This is a great thread to discuss but false statements will derail.
I think what would help is post personal experience or problems instead of quoting internet searches. Love the cichlid examples given.

Did I say they didn't have HITH problems? I'm pretty sure I said they are ahead of us, meaning they have more than likely founds means of resolution.

Internet searches are based off of experiences? People don't just create documentation off thin air.

you should believe everything on the internet it's "all" true.:)
