Recently I got in an argument with some people on a cichlid keeping page from facebook. The guy had flushed his sick fish because he didn't want the disease to spread he said he does this a lot and if the fish is too big he throws it in the trash. I personally think this is a terrible way to euthanize a fish what do you think?

I cant do that.

I have to euthinize it with clove oil.

I've flushed dead smaller fish, or tossed larger dead individuals but they where completely dead. I would never do that to a living fish. Clove oil and severing spinal cord if you have to euthanize a living fish.

Or better yet, try curing the sick fish and letting it live. Buy a quarantine tank, which is a must for any fish keeper and stop being a lazy prick lol

LOL,go get em Strollo!...now where do you get Clove oil from,I've been meaning to ask this for some time now?

I have one bottle that I've luckily never had to use but I got it at walgreens and I know CVS has it too.

Some fish aren't really worth spending the time and money on. While some fish are just incurable or are suffering, better to just flush them.

Alive? and to let them suffer more? While I agree it depends on the case and how sick the fish is. I'll never agree to flush a live fish though.
