Or better yet, try curing the sick fish and letting it live. Buy a quarantine tank, which is a must for any fish keeper and stop being a lazy prick lol

I don't have a QT tank. I flush live fish. Am I a lazy prick strollo? I do what I can, but you guys treat fish keeping like you're a homeowner's association. It's like you you don't follow our code of conduct you are blackballed from fish keeping. Lighten up. Your morals and obligations do not reflect or dictate how other treat, cure or put down fish. Congrats on your 4000+ posts (most of them pointlessly judgemental) next time I put down a fish I will sure to get it ok'd by you...

I can't catch a live fish from my tank...so this problem does not exist for me.

I do however either flush dead fish or bury them under my trees.

LMAO...going for the jugular there aren't ya....lighten up,he was only joking.

Can't believe the number of people who are happy to flush a live fish. If I take an animal into my care I'm going to do the decent thing if it is sick/dying and put it out of it's misery as swiftly and painlessly as possible. Each to their own I guess, the "out of sight out of mind" option is certainly easier if you don't think about it....

The only time I've been able to flush a live fish was when I was still using feeder minnows and one was ignored for weeks (sooo tiny) so when I finally caught it, in a fever of HELL YEAH, F YOU MINNOW I flushed the freakin minnow.

I would NEVER do it to one of my pets though, they don't get given up on until completely dead. And even then I bury them in the garden, for nutrients for the plants. Or get them stuffed and mounted like I plan do it with my ornate bichir upon death (hopefully won't be for another 20+ years lol)

I have flushed fish before ,not any in several years....the ones I have now ,no way they have become friends, burial at sea however(you guys know what that is) is done with little guys...big guys get buried ...if anybody wants to flame me for that ,don't bother my pre-resonse is. GET BENT

I have flushed small fish. Mostly only dead ones but some fry from feeder tanks have accidentally gone down the drain during water changes in the past. Large dead fish go in the freezer till either buried in the garden or garbage night. It is frowned upon to flush live fish into my city's sewage treatment plant according to the rules.

As a person keeping a fish in a small glass box, yea I do believe it's your obligation to care for that fish to best of your abilities. If a fish is to the point of no return, then humanely kill it. Don't flush a suffering fish down a toilet to let it suffer more in some cesspool or sewer system. As far as my 4000 posts, I happen to he an active member on here and enjoy helping when I can. I don't consider my posts to be judgmental at all. Maybe you shouldn't take offense to a comment I made, unless you truly are a lazy prick. Then, I give my sincerest apologies for offending you. Don't come out of your face at me. I've never had a problem with you, i would like to keep it that way. Don't be the keyboard tough guy we all hate.
