Hey Eveyone,

Im slowly getting closer and closer to the 180 gallon or the 240 with 6 innch width for a single hystrix ray. Im looking for possible tankmates.

Bottom: Male Hystrix Ray if its a 180...or male and female if its the 240

Middle: I have in a growout tank 10 orange head geos but they seem to never grow...but would like to add a few big ones to this tank...

But i also would like a main big fish in the middle any possible suggestions?

I was thinking... Giant gourami or peacock bass...but entirely unsure...any suggestions?

Also dont worry about filteration...it will defitly be overfiltered... Thanks!

A couple of kelberis would do and a couple of dats.

African butterfly fish just sort of chill around the top like all the time, its aggro if other fish are in its area but other then that not really

you call that not aggressive?

Sure do. I've kept multiple cichla from Peruvian monos to xingus, plus I've also kept them with ntts-ST's. Rays and geos know there place in a tank. Matter of fact, I got 2x motoros, 3x indo tigers from 10"-15", 1x broko 9", Bahia kel 16", Geo baz and 5x 6"-8" random geos in a 180gal right now.

Indopac tarpon immediately comes to mind

You have no idea how much I want the indopac tarpon! Defintly a dream for a fisherman like me however I defintly wont be upgrading after this tank. Unless do you have an idea how long would one last in eigter a 180 or 240?

I think the 180 robably till 18inches and the 240 probably till 22 inches. Any idea?

Also to all the other members with suggestions I defintly picture a black aro on the top...indo tarpon in the middle (if I feel comfortable that he can be house for a long time) along with some other "middle dwellers"...probably just might be my geos eventually lol.

Keep the suggestions coming as a new fish is listed I look into it thru old posts as well as up to date information of care and of coarse prices lmao!

Thanks!
