He actually gets natural sunlight from the windows. Theres 3 windows in front of the tank. It seems sufficient, id like your opinion on it though.

AWESOME! i remembering catching a huge one of these by hand as a kid with three other guys. it was about a foot and a half across on the back and thats being conservative. looking back it was quite dangerous hahaha

The wavelength of light needed is not able to make it through the glass.

When he was smaller, not anymore he's gotten mkre aggressive and is lighting fast!
I would throw one on there because uvb gets filtered out when going through glass. Also, by the time the light hits the tank, most of it has probably spread out enough that what's leftover isn't enough to make a difference.

So just a uvb bulb? I have an uvb led coral headlight. If thats not enough ill definitely go out and buy one. Never knew that! Thanks for that info.
