Wow thanks for posting these pictures, those are exactly what I wanted to see. What large leis look like under natural conditions.

Yeah, no problem. People don't know what they're talking about when it comes to the beauty of the leichardti.
Someone here owns this fish, if you see this, please give us an update if you can.
Thanks!

Ive had several leis from juveniles to adults, and always in arowana communities. In my experience they get almost as agro as jars. A difference I found was jars turn into killers at around a foot, give or take a inch, but with leis, Ive had them turn at 8" and beat the hell out of blacks almost twice the leis size, and they had been together since they were all half that size. But Ive also added an adult lei into an established adult arowana community, with a green the same size as the lei, and two blacks twice their size- the lei got demolished, but after a month alone he was g

Sorry, I hit the wrong button and sent my post unfinished- the moral is after the month of healing, within two days he killef a two foot black and tortured the other so bad he bashed through an aro-proof lid and leaped to his death, I separated the lei from the green... I had already lost enough fish that week. Sorry to drag on, but wanted to remind you to watch out for to go mental at any size- good luck

These arowana have been together since 2". At first I had to seperate the lei because the silvers were to aggressive. For a while the lei was in with the blacks. Blacks being 12" and lei being 6" they were flawless for a while. I just recently introduced all of them together. And then recently again moved them to this 300. As you can see there are no problems! I never kept a jar before and I do not plan on getting one, there's mix aggression story with leis. Haven't seen any in mine at least, fingers crossed (knock on wood) though lol

Lots of nice shots in these last 2 pages. I have mine who has now grown to about 8". Very jumpy. He has a Tig with him. He will be moving into my 240 soon. Hope he is as calm as yours.

Hey thanks rodger,

Did your guy overcome not eating? What did you do I remember he was in pretty bad shape the last time I saw. And 8" thats quite the comeback. My lei is pretty skittish though. I am spending a lot more time in front of the tank and very slow movements. He is getting better though i just have to more really slow when its feeding or when i want to just look at the tank

Yeah, the PraziPro got him eating. He is back to eating pretty much anything I give him. He grew like a rocket for a couple months and caught up to where he should be. He is currently in a room that is hardly used so I blame myself for his behaviour. I have started spending time sitting with him to get him used to activity. He totally loses it when I change water and has jumped out twice. I have some fake plants floating to help him hide for that activity. He has started eating from my hand again, like when he was little. I want to move him but he needs more socializing. I am thinking October time frame.
