Seriously? WTH?

Dez Bryant missed 10 games over having lunch with Deion sanders! Not sure the problem there. Aj green got 4 games for accepting a throwback jersey while out shopping. All those Ohio state players who got hammered for trading memorabilia and autographs for tattoos?

Now we hit a man who's recieved 8+ grand for autographs with a half game? That's more then the jersey, tatts and lunch combined! Yet barely a slap on the wrist


The NCAA statement said they couldn't prove he got paid, so why suspend him at all? Since this happen last year, shouldn't they strip his heisman? Reggie Bush had his stripped for his parents getting a house.

1. ncaa isnt gonna punish him severely because the $EC is the big money maker
2. im sure its going to really hurt the team with him not playing half a game against rice

1) Aj green was in the SEC
2) biggest game on the schedule is week 3 against Alabama. I'd have been ok with suspending him after the Alabama game after they pretended they were still investigating. Multiple games, not a half
3) race card seems relevant here

Atleast cam newton got paid

How can you play the race card if it was all hearsay with no actual proof? They probably were able to prove a minor infraction which is why he only got half a game. The fact that the Ncaa is under fire due to the Jersey sales on their website ( that apparently no one knew about), and the controversy that players should be compensated financially may have had a lot to do with it as well. I'm sure we will find out more in the coming days...

Technically he was probably only going to play half a game against rice anways so he didn't really get suspended.

if they have no proof then why was he suspended? they have proof. they talked to him for 6 hours on sunday. why so long if there's nothing to talk about? he probably threaten to laywer up because of the reasons you mentioned

he's in a unique situation where his family already has money even before he started getting paid
 
I think the only reason this is all he got is because he is the face of college football right now. The NCAA doesn't want their biggest star to be suspended that long. It'll loose them money.

would a whole game have hurt? or even 2 games? or stripping the heismen? it'd only make him an even bigger rock star.

ps, i find it hilarious that reggie bush STILL hasn't returned it. lmao
