I understand that but I don't have room for all that. If I built a new stand i Might be able to put a 40 breeder under it but that's about it. But my option was put it in the 120 with my Xingu and Azul Growouts or put it in my 220. So it was the only choice I had. I wasn't going to leave it there to die

I commend you on wanting to rescue this fish and possibly find a new better home.
I think we have all been to homes on craigslist that make us say WTF, how are these still fish alive?

Sometimes euthanization is the better road, than putting all your fish at risk, (if you don't have a qt tank to isolate him first) or leaving him there?
This hobby at times leaves us with hard choices.. my two cents

Yeah it was a tough choice and believe me I thought about the whole isolation deal before hand I just had I means of doing it. In the end I thought it better to try and save it. It's not the fishes fault that someone didn't care for it correctly. Like I said though, he's swimming around fine and has given chase to my Balas a few times so atleast there's hope for him

And +1 on it being a good looking O I thought the same. Just gonna keep up the salt treatment and water changes and see if I can get him healthy again!

Where would you like for me to quarantine him? In my other tank? I have2 tanks a 120 and a 220. As far as him being skinny? Are you looking at the same fish as I am? Without its belly it is still 3-4" in girth. Thanks for the advice. I am treating for IPs and added Epsom salt this morning ill keep this thread to update his progress

I'm looking at the same fish as you, and I agree he is thick regardless of his BIG belly. That said, I would ask you the same question, are you looking at the same fish as me? This guy is nowhere near 3-4 inches in girth. That is an obscenely large width, and I simply do not believe it. I think you might reconsider if you held a ruler to the tank and waited for the opportune moment.

Congrats on rescuing him/her from irresponsible owners though

Hahahahaha^^^^ here's an updated pic.ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1378601832.464061.jpg

Slimming down a little. Still pooping fine and ate a pellet in Epsom salt today.
