Aside from the filters what are things you do to keep the tank looking nice I am always seeing pictures of tanks that are HUGE and yet still crystal clear and very clean how !! :) I'm always struggling with tank Maintenance even with proper filtration !

put it on top.^ it's a plant which eats up nitrates which cause algae blooms, well f1 already said it, magnetic brush actually helps if there's algae in the glass, and some lighting do tricks.

I went bare bottom and added a drip system. I recently added pathos, but I think my nitrates are too low for them to do much.

The link didn't work ?

It does when I click it: http://monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=504763

The sticky will show you many ways to mount pothos. Only the roots need to be submerged and ambient light is fine but added light helps faster growth. You can put roots in hob, sump, behind overflows/covers etc. Also you can always scoop out gravel with a large wide fish net. Do half one week and the rest the other. You can use pool filter sand or bare bottom as said above. Gravel can be a nitrate trap!

This is how I did it:

That would make sense. They usually consume most the ammonia before it reaches n03. You could cut back on the drip

Its never too late to change. My advice do bare bottom or sand. Also key is over filter your tank and lots of water changes. Here ill rub it in a little. Lol mine does show a little dirty when I feed allot of pellets mostly just a little cloudy after for a little. uploadfromtaptalk1378996175283.jpg

Yea I wish I had gone bare bottom because gravel Is so hard to clean in large aquariums but I guess it's too late now
