Once again, it'd take a lucky strike from the ray to kill the GATF. The GATF might not be able to kill them easily, but I feel it would be better equipped to take out the ray through repeated harassment strikes than the ray getting a lucky strike on the ATF with the stinger or cloaking it.
I'm ducking out for now, this debate is starting to become something of a Pyrrhic victory for me. Everything you throw out I debunk so you find something new that's big to throw out that I need to debunk. In order to be the ultimate, it needs to be more than just big, it has to be able to effectively kill its competition as well. Arbitrarily selecting random large fish isn't a good debate point.
Just because the ray has the capacity to possibly kill a GATF through sheer size, how would it kill a huge gator, paima or Nile perch? They're too big even for big Mekong rays. The GATF has the tools to do it, however. That's the reason why there's nothing in freshwater that fits the bill of ULTIMATE freshwater monster as well as the goliath.
