2 foot Armatus eating 9 inch Mackerel

The Armatus looks so cute and innocent compared to that wolf..... What a monster.

That's a phenominal pair of fish you have there.

How long have you had the Armatus? What does it's diet consist of?

Great thread. His diet is interesting and also having very little change in waterchemistry since you dont do very many waterchanges. This is hard for us to do with rays

Wouldn't drips make the water chemistry change less then manual water changes? Or are you thinking just less swings due to bio load?

dude I have been watching and showing that video to people for the last few months what a small world lol, awesome fish man major props

Yes it does... Like it could take out the armatus anytime it feels like it..I would like to have one someday.

Aimara definitely don't look like that when small.

You can tell that things big, the little guys don't have that massive hump like this one does.

I can't get over how flawless both fish look...

What's that fish at the corner of the tank? food?

Try feeding your armatus cichlids. Much better quality and healthier than guppies and comets. Convixts and african rifts are very easy to breed.

that pair could probably eat a dozen of adult convicts in one sitting. Do you know how much food, and time it would raise enough for feeding them on regular basis? You would need a small pond or lake and daily feeding to possibly raising enough to feed them.

The idea is nice
