I was only talking about him becoming aware that he is a boy. Color of clothes, and which toys kids have access to, doesn't cause that.
Requiring gender neutrality of baby/childs' items is just another form of choices being made, and presented by adults.
Anyone who has raised different kids can seen that each one knows exactly what they like. No mystery. Kids make sure you know!
