I think Gourami would be pretty cool in a 36, I'd probably do 3 opaline or gold (1m, 2f) along with a shoal of 6 to 12 smaller non nipping tetra or barb of your choice.

I keep corydoras with convicts. No they will not.

about 15 threadfin rainbows!!..and a school of 10 or more pygmy corys.

Love this combination and the threadfins are amazing and display all the time.
