Great thread!
David, I love your view, definitely an incredible location. I would love to visit New Zealand some day.
Pacu Mom, your place is amazing. Northern California is really nice, I've been through the Redwoods a few times. Kind of like a warmer version of Oregon with a little bit bigger trees...
Gar88, India has some incredible wildlife, the monkey photos are awesome!
Studd Muffin, that is one nice lake to have in your back yard.
These Elk were in the field two places up the road from my house. They have come right through our yard before, but only in the middle of the night.
Most of the land around us is either Christmas tree fields or timber, this is just a shot inside the woods where I was picking mushrooms the other day.
This is the Little North Fork of the Santiam. My grandpa and his cousins built a cabin here in the 1920s. The cabin is long gone, but I am 1/6 owner of the place. It is pretty overgrown as I haven't had time to clear it out for a few years, but it is an awesome swimming hole and sometimes you can snorkel above dozens of salmon as big as your leg....
A couple of sunset photos out the back door:
We get a lot more snow than the valley just seven miles down the hill.
Silver Creek Falls State Park is about seven miles up the road.
Green Peter Reservoir, about an hour south of my house:
Wickiup Reservoir in Central Oregon, about three hours east of my house:
The Pacific Giant Salamander, world's heaviest terrestrial caudate. At almost a foot they are a heck of a big salamander, but nothing compared to the larger aquatic salamanders.
