New 55gal tank

that gravel looks like it tuned out to be pretty nice
 
usually they will over a short time on their own , but if you want to pull the motors .( gotta empty the filters of water) you can put a dab of vasoline on the end of the impeller shaft
 
yep ,, also if the tank isn't 100% full the filters will prob. be a little quieter when it is.. my experience with ac 70's is they will be very quiet once they are broken in a little (other than the waterfall effect):)

The water level is above the black trim on top!!! And I prob. won't even notice it tomorrow morning when I walk through the room!! I like a little bit of the waterfall effect, very relaxing
