Im not talking about 3 years from now. Im living in the moment and in this moment, SEC is king. Plus beating the top teams in the nation to get their seat is not being gifted a seat, they earned it. Notice very few repeat titles? Almost all different teams

no it's the fact nobody else gets an "automatic" bid ...ALABAMA hasn't won a significant non-conference game in years , because they don't have to play anybody ... I am not saying that the SEC doesn't deserve a team in the game ALMOST EVERY YEAR ... but saying the sec IS AS GOOD AS THE lousy NFL teams ( a common argument )is LAUGHABLE...winning one non-conference game of significance each year(the title game) AND PLAYING ONE LESS conference game , gives your teams a better chance at being healthy for their 1 big game ...
^ huh? How does playing the top defenses in the ncaa week in and week out help you come out healthier? Its a fact that the most defensive players that go pro come from the SEC.
TRUTH is the SEC puts their top athletes on the defensive sides while most schools are still putting them in the offensive side. Look at what those kids play in HS and then where they play in college.

I didn't say word 1 about d-fense ... ALL I am saying is play the game on level playing field for everybody,, SABAN for instance ,is a good coach .. but why does he get to profit , in the "they earned the easier schedule" , because FLORIDA was good 6 years ago... it's a little easier playing TENNESSEE TECH THAN NOTRE DAME when you want to bring stats into it.. ONCE AGAIN let's see how the sec stacks up when they AREN'T THE ONLY CONFERENCE IN THE COUNTRY.. who can put a 2 loss team in THE game ,, just saying COLLEGE FOOTBALL is the only sport where one league has a distinct advantage ,, before the season starts,, when there is an 8 team playoff things will change .. or when the sec goes to 9 game schedules and decent non-conference games,, that's MY ARGUMENT,, THEY AT THIS POINT,,, ARE 50% GOOD..50% HYPE
THE HEALTHIER ARGUMENT IS ABOUT PLAYING AN 8 GAME CONFERENCE SCHEDULE ..playing roast beef tech is a little easier on your star players than playing LSU
So the starters playing half a game vs vanilla state would make then less healthy? Your argument is so flawed based on the current state of the SEC and schedule making of all top teams
They were also playing an extra conference game vs another top team long before the pac 12 was

I'm pretty sure Alabama beat the UNBEATEN ND squad last year worse than they beat Tennessee tech lol. Doesn't really matter if they have a week non conference schedule their conference schedule makes up for it. Not a bama fan but they've earned their place at the top same as every other SEC team. When was the last time a SEC team didn't win the national title? 06?
