So the starters playing half a game vs vanilla state would make then less healthy? Your argument is so flawed based on the current state of the SEC and schedule making of all top teams

They were also playing an extra conference game vs another top team long before the pac 12 was

YES IT WOULD ,,,THEY PLAY ONE LESS conference game NOT ONE MORE,, it's logic you play a team that CAN'T beat you ...you rest starters and get an easy win ,, it's not FLAWED AT ALL

All these schedules are also done like years in advance... They don't know who is going to be good when they play. When bama made their schedules they weren't the dominant team they are now. Florida and LSU were

I'm pretty sure Alabama beat the UNBEATEN ND squad last year worse than they beat Tennessee tech lol. Doesn't really matter if they have a week non conference schedule their conference schedule makes up for it. Not a bama fan but they've earned their place at the top same as every other SEC team. When was the last time a SEC team didn't win the national title? 06?

PLAYOFF.. NO AUTOMATIC SEC BERTH ,, then we talk,,,,,, until then the playing field isn't even,,,,, lets see BAMA BEAT somebody good every year (non conference),, don't even get me started on how mediocre NOTRE DAME WAS IN THAT GAME,, IT HELPS PLAYING A CRAP SCHEDULE AND LIVING OFF YOUR REP(NOTRE DAME)

They were playing a conference title game before the PAC 12. Adding an extra game to the cream of the crop.

All top schools are avoiding other top schools. Even when they do meet, its on neutrals fields.

Fact is several teams have had 1 month prep to take a shot at the various SEC teams that have represented the conference in the title game. All those teams have failed. They've had their shot. Stop pretending its been all SEC title games

The closest team to beat an SEC team in the past 7 years in the BCS title game was Oregon vs Auburn. In my personal opinion in a playoff Alabama,LSU,Georgia,Texas A&M would all be fine in a play off. The only teams I can see out of the SEC ( THIS YEAR) that could potentially beat one of these 4 teams in a play off is : Clemson,Oregon and Florida st, that is all. Wanna talk about a undefeated team with a joke of a schedule look at Louisville. Ohio State may have the longest winning streak in the nation but who are we kidding, other than being coached well, they could lose to any top 25 team any week. So IMO outside of Oregon and Clemson ( who beat Georgia already and plays Florida St and South Carolina) who else?

I feel like all the people who still don't get what all the SEC talk is all about still think Ford is president. If you turn on a tv and watch an episode or 2 of sports center (Duh Nuh Nuh, Duh Nuh Nuh) you would realize how invalid your anti SEC rants really are. To much of the bs hypothetical ,"What if this happened" or "This would have totally changed everything" and if I here one more comment about the SEC playing cream puff schedules my heads gonna explode. Who has won the past gazillion national titles? The SEC! Who do SEC teams play on a regular basis? Other SEC teams!

P.s. this is brought to you by a die hard TCU fan.

when the sec went to a title game they weren't the cream , but a very good conference .. they went to the sec title game (just like the big 12 ) for tv money AND as a novelty trying to snare championship game appearances (it worked) .. I AM NOT SAYING the SEC ISN'T THE best CONFERENCE ... JUST how about NOT PUTTING THEM IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME EVERY YEAR, BEFORE THE SEASON STARTS,, if an SEC TEAM LOSES TWICE then beats a crappy NOTRE DAME TEAM THAT beat 8 army's and got lucky at home vs. stanford,,, are they really better than an undefeated LOUSVILLE TEAM ,, okee dokey where's my 8 team playoff to prove it,,, that is my argument I HAVE NO OTHER ARGUMENT ,,,:raspberry

Yeah and I am a WVU fan since I was 3. Fact is the SEC is the top conference for a reason.
