Actually, the SEC was known for great defenses, but at the rate these kids are going to the NFL, its getting harder and harder to keep talented player in school (LSU for instance). The phrase Defense wins Championship is true ot form, and the SEC has proven that over the last 6 years, however there is about to be a changing of the guards with these high power offense and fast paste offense, like the NFL. Being an LSU fan, I watched the Georgia vs LSU game (almost 100 points scored), and knew that would be the end of the SEC as we know it. Alabama is still trying to hold on with there Defense, but it's no where as strong as it use to be. I think the ACC is about to turn the tables. As for the playoff system, bad for tradition, but good for seeing teams play that you other wise would never get to see unless it came down to the final BSC game. I would love to see Ohio, Bama, Orgeon, Clemson, Stanford, and use to be USC mix it up. This is going to be a plus for some conferences and a curse for others. I know the SEC has to be tired of beaitng up and elimintaing each other. JMOPjust one question .. if SEC defenses are as great as everybody tells me ,how come JOHNNY FOOTBALL AND AARON MURRAY DROP 40 ON EVERYBODY'S all world d's every week.. maybe GOOD qb's eat defenses alive, just like..EVERY OTHER CONFERENCE?
