The State of College Football

the football playoffs will decide whos better than who, why even bother arguing? ur making no points valid, because every day is a new day, a month from now, bama could be upset 1 or 2 times and lose a BCS championship berth. anyways IMO, the college game has swiftly parted away with local tradition and rivalries that it's a bother for me to watch it anymore. im just hyped for sundays now.
 
just one question .. if SEC defenses are as great as everybody tells me ,how come JOHNNY FOOTBALL AND AARON MURRAY DROP 40 ON EVERYBODY'S all world d's every week.. maybe GOOD qb's eat defenses alive, just like..EVERY OTHER CONFERENCE?
 
That's what I think happens--Alabama drops a game or two.

fair enough comment.. just don't be suprised if an sec team gets boat raced by a good qb in the championship game ,, in their 6 yr run they haven't faced an NFL level qb in the game ,,sooner or later an ANDREW LUCK TYPE is sure to get a shot with a decent team around him

Andrew luck had his chance....he lost in the playoffs called the pac 12 before he ever made it to the title game. You have way too many what ifs lee. The history book has been written already. how often do top tier QBs even make it to the title game?

the SEC is on a nice run,, with plenty of help from the media,, not much else to say ...I AM just not getting myself all moist over the conference
 
The NCAA just will NOT allow this to continue much longer. When the playoff system does nothing to curb SEC dominance, they'll take a page from the NFLs playbook and start a crusade for "parity". They'll "balance" the conferences, recruiting quotas, rule changes, etc. I give it 3 years tops. Start buying as much SEC memorabilia as you can right now, and get an EBay account, cause the SECs days are numbered.

The NCAA governing body doesn't control the conference lay out. If they did, they would not have allowed some of their biggest cash cows such as rivalry games to disappear . the only thing a playoffs will do is give teams a reason not to schedule tough non conference games
