Time for a new tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It is. Still haven't bought gravel. LOL.

Of course, I just found out last weekend that this tank will have to move for the fish room renovation I am starting. So, it's actually a good thing that I never finished it. Haha

Wait a minute...renovation? Didn't you just move and get everything situated? Your worse then I am lol.

Yeah, been here just over a year.
I have a convoluted reason for a simple project.

I am walling off the fish room from the rest of the basement. Upon taking the old drywall down, I realized that there wasn't a whole lot of floor support for the second story. So, while putting in the wall, I will tear out a bit more to add some support to the floor.

Of course, to do this I'll have to move 8 tanks and remove a bunch of the wall. The total will be more sound for the long haul. Additionally, I'll save $ on heating a smaller space AND I will have an extra wall for more tanks!

even threw the plans to the wife and she just said to do whatever. I think she is overjoyed that I'll be moving the piano downstairs once this is complete. She gets the upstairs space and I get a new 180/guitar/piano jam room.

My wife had pretty much the same reaction once I started moving tanks out of the house and into the garage. She didn't care at all what I built/drilled/plumbed out there as it freed up space in the house.

Jam room is VERY important too lol.
