I got this guy from Gage in July at about 3.5" he's up to around 4.5-5" now. This guy is shy like most grammodes, but he likes to hover in the middle of his tank and watch me while I'm at a distance.

Very nice, i have one 4"ish one and its far from shy.

They are great fish and it's very rare to have one that isn't shy, count yourself lucky. The only time mine wasn't shy was when he had tank mates and unfortunately tank mates have only lasted till the lights go out.
His tankmates are 3 3-4.5" umbee and two festae 5" and 3.5" in a 150g

Beautiful Grammode. He is not of fan of being seen, you can tell by how dark he is making himself. Definitely stressed. Enjoy him, and keep him forever. I wish I would of had more patience with mine, they grow so slow, so I made a hasty decision that I regret today.
Love Grammodes, but dang they grow sooooo slow... I had to sell mine as the other fish were out growing him so quickly. Pretty mean too!!

Very little aggression for now. Some showdowns with the grammode and 4-4.5" umbee. But both of them step down and leave. My 5" male festae is the "peacekeeper" of the tank. Breaks up all the fights and never starts any.
