I was reading planet catfish and it appeared there are a lot of plecos you can't breed. The worst of this it looked like the nicer looking the pleco the less your chance of breeding them. Is the info on Planet catfish up to date or has some of the info changed. The reason I ask is we have some galaxy plecos and a pair of three beacon we would like to breed is this possible. We also wanted to breed so rhinos if possible what are peoples thoughts and what have you bred conditions and conditioning inf if known.

I have l029 galaxys breeding right now. Its all possible. A lot havnt been bred yet or havnt been reported on pc but with the right conditions it will happen. Which galaxy do you have? Can you post pics of your 3 beacons?

You can breed Zebras but need up front money

Rhinos won't bred unless you have a mud pond as they dig holes/tunnels in the mud for breeding

Yayfish our galaxy's are L250's I have no pictures of our 3 beacon's and actually have only seen them once since we got them. We had 5 small zebra's I wanted to try and breed them but my wife got scared they may die before maturing and sold them. May have to fire up the 1300gallon beast make a mud wall and try and breed those rhino's.

Im assuming you meant l240 in which case you have the prettiest imo. 1300 gallons is an enormous tank id love to see that. Building a mud wall in the tank sounds like quite a project. I can imagine it would be very messy but hope you could do it.

Got thinking later for these mud caves would large pipes full of clay work.

I imagine it would be messy at first but should settle in time. Is clay what they dig into or is it more like a gumbo or top soil? Would love to breed the rhino's as they are great algae eaters. We have some in the 10 inch range now not totally sure how big they get.
