yhat is really nice O, and i am in no way dissing you but getting a oscar that size isnt the same as getting a baby, i got my O at 1 1/2 and he is now at 7 1/2 watching the gorw and learn is half the fun :) and about the feeding dont let him jump, ive heard so many bad stories about jumping O's all usually with fatal endings. but have fun with your oscar he will be great my O has the most amazing personality and im sure yors will to, learnin theirs moods is quite interesting sulking at the bottom when angry and then spinning in circles when excited oh i love oscars but again gorgeous O good find man! thumbs up!

I agree that watching fish grow from small size is enjoyable. I have grown many fish up throughout the years. But if I was to put an 1 1/2" fish in my tank now it would most likely be eaten lol. Also, at 6-7" he's only about half his adult size so there is still a lot of growing to witness. I also agree you don't want your fish jumping. That is why I said I had to stop holding the food bag over the tank. As long as I pour the pellets into my hand and then into the tank he doesn't jump.
