It's kind of funny the smallest one started eating the carny sticks long before the others, now the poor guy gets ran off most of the time. I don't remember them being so full of hate for each other like these guys seem to be?!

Definitely don't seem to grow as fast on sticks though.... :(

Looking good Al. How long you had them on sticks? Thats funny, my smallest is the first to have chewed on Tilapia.

Thanks :) I'd guess 4-5 weeks? They seem to kind of take turns, some will, one won't. They'll eat fish too, seem to prefer it, I just never thought I'd see them eating sticks off the top..... Figured if they'll eat sticks and keep to mainly thiamanise free fish it has to be better then the thiaminse rich smelt and shrimp diet I tried before.

How big are you waiting for before trying with rays??

Mine probably average 7"?

Thanks :)

Havent decided yet. Probably 9" or so. The larger rays worry me about pouncing on them. The Vittatus is street wise to them but the armatus will be like tourist getting lost in the wrong neighborhood

My boy is doing well at 20"+. I only feed him a couple times a week now. He's 2 years old and I still have him in a 240 by himself.
I have a 720 8x3x4 all ready for him now but with the center over flow in the middle of that tank I am just scared to move him. He's doing so well in his 240. I been thinking of getting a 10x3x3 with corner over flows for him.

That guys a beast! I can't wait till mine get big!

Mine are both about 9" right now and still get along fine. They're just on feeders right now eating every other day. It was really hard to get a pic of them together cuz they don't stop moving when I'm around.
