^ right F1 lol i wouldnt pay that much for one of those, with that being said i would totally drop like 400-500 on one but other then that no way. The gold morph in my mind are much more attractive then the platinum, plus orange is one of my favorite colors haha id love an orange gar. You just dont see that kind of coloration on most predators for a reason, its hard for them to survive the wild being so easily spotted. cool find, and im with wes i doubt there is anywhere with a "lake full of gold morphs" unless its a breeding pond. anyone else find it ironic people are beginning to catch wild Gar in SE asia and we can catch snakeheads on the east coast of the USA?

Like multiple people said before, I highly doubt there's a lake full of these. With how bright they are, they would be easily spotted by every single animal trying to eat them and they wouldn't be able to hide really at all since they like to hang out at the too of the water which every hawk, eagle, falcon, etc will pinpoint them in a second. That's why a lot of albino animals don't survive very long in the wild unless they're desert species. They just can't hide from their predators or prey. And this is even brighter than any albino animals I've seen.

Edit: Besides that, that is a really cool looking fish. I wouldn't drop that much dough on it but that'd be pretty cool to have.

Its a florida gar, so id pay like 50 bucks. I agree with the goldfish comment earlier. I have no interest in color morphs. Gotta wonder if that guy who made that all platinum monster tank has anything better to do with his time and money.

In reality someone could make an ignorant comment like that in regards to anyone who's in the hobby, regardless of your color preference. I also prefer naturally colored fish, and really dont like albino's I've had people say the same thing about my fish tanks !

What are u wasting your money on ??

When people see my tank, I can tell them about all the fish and their traits. Why the fish act how they do, or are the way they are. When i see fish with color morphs I know cost thousands of dollars, I dont see a love for aquatic life. I see a pissing contest of who can spend more money. I don't respect that, I think its stupid. I got into this hobby because I love fish, not to spend thousands of dollars on individual fish.
