Few reasons
1 don't have a tank big enough or the space to get one big enough
2 don't have the money to buy one
3 couldn't afford to keep one because I'm saving for a car haha

As for tethered fins his fins have always looked this way and since moving to the 200 Gallon they have gotten much better. Fin rot is a bit bold to say really, unless a Aro can live with fin rot for months hahaha
