My Black Belt hates water changes seems very stressed following

What should I do when I do my water changes 40% every 4 days it seems to really stress out my black belt which is about 4 in long after water changes fish seems very lethargic temp change during water change is only about 10 degrees or so is it shocking him/her ?

Yes it shocking it. The temp should only flux 3* maybe 5* the most.

You should try to get the water as close to tank temp as possible. The 10 degree difference may very well be shocking the fish and causing stress on top of the water change stress itself

so should I try smaller more frequent water changes as I don't have anywhere to allow water to raise in temp and water here is very cold

Get a garbage can or storage bin fill it up with water and put a heater in it. Depending on your room temperature you might not need a heater. It also might need to get used to them.
