I totally agree, new coach, new approach? we see, he can be great or he can just flub it all up. still think Mathews going to be the key for him, along with Woodhead and Keenan (sp). if they can make the position play yardsm, will open up the deep balls. and rivers can drop a nice long ball. as can Payten,.

I love post season. So much about peoples "other" or "second" favorite team BS. It makes me actually LOL at people (not just MFK)

Lol, so you'd just stop watching if the 9ers were out of it?

I think I'm an nfl fan just as much as i am a lions fan. it could be houston vs jacksonville and if it were the only game on, id watch

Same here, I even watch it when the 49ners play. I don't even consider them to be my 32nd favorite even when I'll take the other 31 teams over them. It was hard last year as my 2 most hated/disliked teams played in the SB. Denver is my 3rd disliked...so we see what may happen this year.

I don't have a problem watching a collage game even when I don't know who's playing. I refer to them as the team in 'Orange' or the team in 'Blue'

I'm the same way. It's no seacrete who my team is but once they are eliminated I still watch the games. We all have teams we like and teams we dislike to varying degrees. For me Miami has always been my favorite AFC team going back to the Don Schula, Larry Czonka and Mercury Morris days but I still Like the Jets. I always liked the Packers, Steelers, Redskins (I know they are in my division, but John Riggens and Joe Thiesman were great), Arazona & the Raiders (I mean who can't like the Raiders an NFC team in the AFC West at least in the old days) the Seahawks were always a team I liked too (Steve Largent). I like the 49er's they had some great teams but the West Coast offence was considered sissy footbal back in the day. On the dislike list Dallas and New England top my list of dislikes. I could do without the Saints too. I was never a big Denver fan (the whole orange thing bugged me) but I like them more now with Payton Manning. Like I said in a previous post once the GIANTS are out I can pick and choose who I want to win or root for without the acita that goes with your team playing. I'm pretty sure everyone that's been watching football their whole life can put a list like this together. The rest of the teams I don't really care about one way or the other, especially the newer teams with no real history, Panthers, Jaguars, Ravens, Texans, Titans............etc.

What I don't respect are team jumpers or people that get on a bandwagon with no real allegance. Where were these "fans" when the team sucked?

Of course I watch even when my team is done, I love the game. The difference being I shut my mouth when the time comes. After my team is out I don't stand behind the next team and talk crap to the fans of the team(s) still in. Make sense?

I have no problem with people who like multiple teams AND know the game. You for example and Tom I would go back and forth with all day. You guys know the game and if for some reason the Browns made it (I know, I know) I don't see either of your ordering a Browns jersey and talking smack to SF fans. You both would raddle off stats of certain players or coaching staff you respect, not how much you love that team. I hope I make sense I'm running a fever and really sick.

There is different levels of loyalty in fan bases but some people drive me nuts on the web. We all know that "one guy" that's a winner every year.

Totally understandable. I would be happy if certain teams won and thrilled when teams I hate lose but i would never pretend to be a lifer and wear their gear.

I will admit when I hate a team, their opponent suddenly becomes my bff....until that game is over lol. See auburn vs flo state

Justin I do agree with what you said. No Browns jerseys for me in the forseeable future (still rockin my original 1985 Mark Bavaro). You better feel ok by the weekend!

Haha I do the same. I'll be on OK terms with the Saints until Monday. Thats different. I'm with you there.

Thanks brother. I hope so too. I get a bronchial infection every years that last for weeks. I got to get my crap together by Sunday though, we have a lot of people coming over for the game.
