Anyone out there dislike giant "kok"?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
IMG_1671.JPGThe FH's that look like they have a baseball on their heads I think is horrible looking. However I do like the protruding head. I feel like the kok needs to be proportionate to the size of the body. I truly hate when the FH's swimming is effected by its kok being to large. My Red King Kamfa is developing very quickly on Hikari foods and bloodworm. His Kok is growing quickly and so far I love how balanced he looks. I hope his kok stays proportionate to his body.

Like many others are saying..head proportion is key. I would rather have next to no kok, then one with a ridiculously large one. Colors and personality are the 2 things I'm really hoping for out of my fh. And a long life too

I thought I was the only one so glad you posted this. I love FH color and body shape and designs but Koks looks so unnatural I don't like them on any fish. If you could sex them at an early age I would pick a female up in a second. I just dont want to get attached to a fish that grows a big giant mass on its head. Same goes with Frontosa I found a variety that doesn't get the big humps and I am very happy with them.

Really don't understand developing fish with handycaps... mouths that don't close, bubble eye's, no dorsal fins, and big water balloons on the foreheads.
