Forget the Uaru then. The most often I would be doing w/c is weekly preferably every other week though.

I was just reading on planetcatfish that four line pims can't have ph higher than 7.2 and my tank is 7.6 should I be worried/

It should be fine, unless it's wild caught I doubt that difference would be harmful. With your stock you need to be doing once weekly at minimum and that's with overfiltration .

What if I got more filtration like a sponge filter in addition to the canister. It's not that I wouldn't do weekly w/c, I will do whatever it takes to keep the fish in perfect health, it's just not my favorite thing to do.

With that many fish weekly is necessary. Water changes are no ones favorite thing but to keep the fish it's healthy it necessary. Adding pothos to the tank may give you a little wiggle room in regards to frequency of waterchanges by keeping nitrates down but not by much.

Alright, I'll do weekly. Whatever it takes like I said (just not twice weekly I would decrease the fish at that point). I may add some plants but something hardy probably.

Could you suggest some hardy plants the severum won't eat. I already have my 30 tall heavy planted and don't want any plants in the 75 that are to demanding in terms of light especially. My lights are on in the 75 for about 3 hours to save electricity and the 30 lights are on 6 hours since the plants in there need it.

Have Java moss in my 30 and it is great but it also likes to spread I noticed. A LOT. Maybe I will do more java fern and some Anubis then. To be more specific than before, something hardy undemanding of light down to 2.5 hours possibly and doesn't grow out of control. So yeah probably Java fern and Anubias.

if the water parameters are fine then w/c per week is fine IMO with the uaru in 75 gallon, for me it works i dont know about others who may have a different filtaration or have a bad composition of fishes that produces large amount of waste etc,as its known that the uaru produces a lot of waste

though if u really is going for firemouth or convict then dont even bother with uaru so either way...
