But right after I measured him (at 6 inches or so) i just put him on the board for 1 quick picture! No harm done man! He was not out of water for longer then 20 seconds! Last thing i will say i do not wanna argue with a great fish keeper like yourself... But I honestly don't consider it abuse... I was just measuring him... A lot of people do that... Then i just propped him up on a skateboard for a few seconds to take a picture... I just do not see how taking a few seconds to take a picture affected him that much...here is a pic of my measuring area if u wanna see it... I kept it damp/wet during the whole process... Only was out of water for 20 or less seconds...

Couldn't tell the cat was laying on a fingerboard. OK, cool, it was just a few seconds. Hope the room was warm and we don't see a video of the cat rolling down your driveway.

Yeah, I just choose to heat my whole small fish room as opposed to having individual heaters for tanks... And no, he will not be rolling down the driveway anytime soon :)

"...anytime soon..." ?? Sebastin, my friend, this is not a joke. Why do you refuse to see that? This may easily be construed as a slippery slope's first step to animal cruelty.

Think of it this way: Imagine 4 big guys submerging you in the pool without letting you get any air in your lungs and pinning you down on the bottom to measure you under water and when they were done they thought just for fun to snap a pic of you sitting on your skateboard on the bottom while you are starting to gag and drown.

You are on probation already. I know how you love fish, don't let immaturity and stupidity get the best of you and get you banned.

I've made a huge, huge share of my mistakes but they were honest. Not having fun with an animal scared out of its skin having a forceful out-of-element experience.
 
I think you should be banned from this site and fish keeping in general. No reason to take fish out of the tank to measure and to take pics especially posing them. Do you post this for attention or do you not know any better? Poor fish.

+1 I personally don't see why some people have to measure their fish like that? It's obviously not record size so why not just get a rough size by holding the tape against the tank when it's in a good position? IMO it's just unnecessary stress and damage to the fish for nothing really...

Indeed - clearly no respect for the fish, or its well being. Showing things like this for shock value is not a sign of intelligence, nor of anything good to come.

Wow. That is a cruel statement. I should be banned from fishkeeping? We all do stupid things in our fish keeping experience. If you say you have not done a single dumb thing in this hobby you will be simply lying to yourself. This is NOTHING compared to some of the other things i have seen in the hobby. Tattooed fish, oscars getting piercings, fighting bettas, making bichirs and snakeheads walk across land, Putting live fish in the freezer to "end their pain quick" (yeah right that is the most painful death i can think of!) just to name a few. So just calm down man. The fish is fine. I will not do it again.
