He already said he wasn't going to do it again and was going to use an alternate way of measuring so I think he gets the point. I have seen plenty of people on this forum that have measured their fish outside of water and didn't get any negative replies.

Alright guys i learned "my lessons".
Here they are
1.) do not measure fish outside of water
2.) catfish can not fingerboard.
3.) if you do 1 stupid thing in this hobby you are unfit to keep fish and should be "banned".

Seriously guys, i apologize for making this mistake. As I stated I will not do it again. Luckily the fish is fine and doing great. You learn from your errors and I certainly did today.

Mods, if you want to close this thread feel free to- this thread has IMO gotten outta hand.

Honestly I don't think he would have done it if would have endangered the fish in any serious way. There are plenty of fish keepers that measure the fish out of tank as that is the most accurate way to measure,possibly recording the fish's growth progress, and I believe it was during a transfer, its not like it was the sole purpose of takinng him out.

Correct.

And silent bob, the point was to have a funny picture of my catfish so that when he is a huge 3 foot monster i can look back at the picture and see how he used to be the size of a fingerboard. No harm done.

No, not at all. People on here do stupid things all the time and learn from them. The community is more than willing to help those people learn and grow, even through repeated noob mistakes.

The difference is though, their "stupid things" are generally done because they simply didn't know any better. I have a hard time accepting that this was the case with you. You have displayed a consistent pattern of misconduct either through gross immaturity or willful, blatant trolling. With all of the things you've done, you will receive no slack. You don't deserve it. You've ling since used up your benefit of the doubt. You have to earn it back and you're failing miserably.

I'd have thought getting your name in pink was a wake up call to get your ass in gear. It appears as though our attempt at salvaging you and keeping you in this community may have been wasted effort.

Somehow, I'm not surprised.
