There was a miss communication with me and the LFS. I asked them for a smaller GT and last week I saw they got this (3.5"-4") a little larger than I wanted but I bought it. I get a call yesterday saying my GT are in. They had got 4 in at about 2.5" and 1 of them is really nice looking its a darker green with a wider bright orange saum. So my question is do you think I could put two GT in the 75. I hope the smaller one is a female (since its darker not bright green) but I don't know for sure.

Current Stock

1x GT
1x Red Dot Severum
2x Adult Firemouth
1x Juvenile Texas.
5x baby firemouth (these will be moved out)

! had 5 in the same tank with no issues .I also had a lot of structure in the tank as well. my gt's were never aggressive to the point I had to move any. There did seem to be a pecking order, but in my opinion you should be fine with another

5 wow! what size tank?

Short term yea but long term no. I'd be worried about introducing it into the tank without it immediately getting picked on

i had them in a 125 with a lot of structure i got 3 the first time and got 2 more later. i also introduced 4 true red terrors looking for a pair wound up with 4 males. never had an issue with aggression . I did wind up getting rid of 3 male red terrors .I was looking to make a pair :( i have never owned an aggressive gt for some reason

I would be careful on introducing. Keeping the lights off and introducing in the evening.

Two GT in a tank really depends on the fish. Two males are not so good, two females usually are okay.

I will only do a M and Female if it turns out ot be two males I will get rid of one. I don't want to have a battle zone in my tank.

The more I think about it I should probably just stick with what I have. I have a good balance going on and nobody is trying to kill each other.

On more question. So now Green Terrors are now called White Saum and Gold Saum. Some people will rip you a new one if you call either of them a Green Terror because only a Stalsbergi is a green terror according to some. What about mine what is the best common name? The second pic shows it best. Dorsal fin fades from white to gold and and tail is gold around top and bottom but white in the middle. what is the proper common name for a fish like this?

If you do have a a male a female I'd remove everyone else should they pair up
