This tells us a good deal. If you really want to see the outcome of this cross then you need to set them up in their own tank. As long as there are other fish in with them there will almost always be problems be it one of them getting killed by another fish or them killing fish ,eating the eggs, abandoning the new hatched fry, other fish eating eggs or fry. The big thing is keeping the parents stress free which gives the best chance of successful breeding and rearing of fry.

Yes, just breed (alone) them and remove the eggs or the fish.

Oh.You might want to get a breeding net with a rock/terracotta pot in it and just breed the fish like that.

Yep pretty much big pink high bodied convicts you might see pearls might not
