Welcome to the Forum Ms.Boobs (Lol)

I wont rant about Con's. Just keep up with your water changes and try not to feed to heavy. Ditch the feeders also, they are no good and if purchased from Lfs (Local fish store) you risk introducing parasites into your system.

You have some gorgeous fish, and I too am new to fish keeping. However, I agree with everyone else here that this set-up is WAY too small for three oscars, a ray, and a pleco. I mean, the tank is too small for just the ray itself. You should really rehome him/her..

I am not sure why people ask for advice only to go against it when they don't get the response they want? If you are going to ignore others well intentioned helpful advice to better educate you with some experienced sound advice, why ask in the first place? It seems you already had your mind set? Remember that people supply the advice because they actually care.
The reality is that size aquarium is good for two O's at best. There is a vast difference between a fish keeper and a fish haver. A good thing to remember if you want healthy fish that will thrive - not just survive. ;)

Seems to me, you're all about braggin about what you have, regardless if its a smart set up or not.

Well its not, its to small, and inadequate for the fish you already had, then you added more... good advice is lost on you... wasted as it may be.

You claim to have rescued an oscar... you're the kind of Aquarist that other Aquarists rescue fish from...

Meh...

Pretty extreme judgement you've made against me.

The Ray has been re-homed. The fish store took him back and he's been sitting in his smaller tank awaiting a new home.

The oscar was laying on its side in the "hospital" tank. I would like to think I did decent as the employee told me he was as good as dead.

Also feeders were cycle fish only :)

I might have been wrong on the id, but did you add an Irwini catfish to that tank? If so, you gotta have a plan to rehome it, they grow huge, and will outgrow your tank.
Its a nice looking tank, but its overstocked :D
Nothing that cant be fixed tho. I'd get rid of the Irwini, he will either become stunted (I dont know how much you know about stunted fish, but they stop growing because bad water quality and lack of space, but there organs keep growing, and they sometimes develop skeletal deformities, basically the organs will grow to large for the body, and the fish will die) or grow way to huge. I'd stick to just 1 or 2 oscars.

Heres some info on the raphael, and if you cant supply the bair minimum, i would give it or sell it. http://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/megalodoras-uranoscopus/

Good luck :D!

They told me he would clean up after the Oscars and make a great addition. So far all has come true! My friend is a turtle enthusiast too so he can take the turtle when and if there are problems.

is that a FRT. And turtle make more mess than oscars. Way more. If you only plan on feeding that thing scraps of the oscars, you will find him starved.
