Red Tiger Motas grow out thread

How I do it is the females will have no spots at all when they are smaller on the fins. Males will always have the spots. You should start to see the red on the females face at around 3-4 inches.

Looks like they are all going to be males. Grow them up a bit and make sure to pick the best one. My advice would be to also make sure it is not overly aggressive because the male I have has never even harmed my female at all. Not sure how I got so lucky with this pair. Dan from Cichlids of the Americas has some RTM's. Knowing his fish those will turn out good. on my last $500 order he even threw in a lot of extra free fish on top of it!

That's the plan :)
Once I pick out a nice male I'll worry about growing up a female later.
