I heard a loud clanking sound from my filter this morning. I immediately shut it off. After eating breakfast, I opening my canister filter up and realized that 2 of my 3 rotating plastic blades broke off. I couldn't find 1 blade.
Could my filter still work if I had 2 blades on the propeller? Could i glue them back on with SUPERGLUE? It's an emergency since I don't have a back up filter.

btw it's an ehiem 2215 canister filter.

the propeller can now separate from its magenetic base that it was once part of. Not sure if I should glue the 2 parts together since they still fit with each other.

He means buy one and have it shipped over night. Your filter should still work with less blades but the flow will be greatly reduced.

You can't buy an impeller locally? Can you get a similar impeller and Frankenstein one together? Buy a hob and put some media from your canister in it?

Hard to say if it will still work with it seperated. I say try plugging it in and if water still flows through it should be ok. I'm not familiar with your filter so can't give you any solid advice about gluing or if the two pieces can spin seperatly or not.

i live in a city where fishkeeping is not popular at all. We only have 2 crappy chain stores which are Petculture and Petsmart. They don't sell ehiem products.

I guess I can glue them together until I finda a good deal (if that works). I went to the ehiem website and the impeller was 30 bucks!

think my fish and turtle can survive without a filter for a day and a half?

I just finish a water change.
