My guess is that Coldhands is Benjen Stark, I don't know if they'll show him in the the show though...

They better he has a pretty integral role, that's also my guess to his identity. In the books all the stark kids have wog dreams so that power must have came from somewhere, probably the stark side and benjen was beyond the wall a lot which supposedly makes these powers come out more

Nope I know this because my reader friend I watch it with is pissed that they don't show them having the dreams ever and has expressed this to me haha he said by now arya at least should be having them

And about cold hands he blurted that out when the wight came to get the baby thinking it was him then told.me.about him lol the show is so far removed from the books I doubt hearing things like that will spoil the show

BTW I'm on book 3 now haha

It'll be interesting to see how arya's story develops, at this point in the books she should be halfway to andalos (the continent that's not westeros)

You think its deviated a bunch from the 3 books youve read so far? your memory is fresher then mine as i read em years ago or is that your friends words?

Yeah they've left a lot of stuff out even as far as I've read, ros the redhead doesn't exist in the books, Jamie doesn't make it back to kings landing until after joff dies, I don't want to go into too great detail and spoil the books haha and like the above post said arya should be on her way out by now

this is a random rant but for the book readers, is Jaime this weak in the books as well without his right hand?

it's kind of dumb to think one of the top fighters is reduced to almost arya level of fighting by losing his main sword hand.

I mean, the truly elite guards in the nba can dribble with both hands. i'd imagine the same concept with elite fighters in westeros. I would think all the top killers are almost equally efficient with both hands even though they are either right or left handed.

but what they do with Jaime is that he's reduced to a noob by losing his main sword hand.

I would think thats realistic way back then. This isnt sparta. Its some filthy rich highborn who mostly fought in arranged tournaments vs other highborns and knights of importance. He probably had some natural ability and some training but nothing near a warrior mentality

I am really enjoying the interaction between bronn and jamie though.

i'm enjoying them too. it's great to see two fav characters get some scenes together

see, i'm ok with your explanation, my only gripe would be, if that was the case then he shouldn't be as highly ranked then. I mean the impression I have always gotten is that Jaime is like top 3 current, living fighters in all of westeros. that being the case he should be a badass right or left handed

I don't find it hard to believe he's weaker without his main sword hand, I think they went too far with making him too weak without it. I mean, it seems even a skilled girl can woop him now. I just hate seeing him as such a weakling because he quickly rose the ranks on my personal list of fav characters, I can't get enough of Jaime now. his balance, his timing and everything is off just from losing his hand
