No doubt he's a racist but he was indeed set up by his girlfriend and magic Johnson, magic wanted to buy a LA basketball team and Lakers aren't for sale. This is just a blackmail scam. It's totally wrong what they did to this man. He's a racist but hasn't harmed anyone by being so, why isn't he entitled to an opinion?

because you'll never dwelve into 300 players personal history and deal with straight up invasion of privacy. the players didn't record him, the owners didn't record him, the dancers, parking attendance, team presidient etc etc. how would this benefit the nba? let's wreck our own product so it appeases tomka123 on mfk and mr sterling? it's completely unreasonable and would NEVER happen.

what makes you think players cheating is a secret anyways? you act like you know something no one else knows

Who is wrecking their own product? You forgot the premise of this idea is sterling doing it. He is being forced out, no longer is this his product. Are u saying IF players were drug users, drug dealers, cheaters, gun runners, dog fighters, or any other form of criminal that it should be ignored because it will ruin the product?

i was under the impression you implied commissioner silver should do it. ha, that's even more unrealistic. if anything he'd pull dirt on other owners and high ranking officials, not the entire pool of players. maybe a few big players.

I disagree with most of this
:-[
I don't imagine Magic being complicit with Viviano.
she has the wicked intent of basic revenge.
Sterling is as free as anyone to "have" an opinion. and yet, being an owner within the NBA attempting to influence someone elses' behavior to conform to his direction(?). that's not viewed the same as your average Joe.
he probably harmed someone in ways, indicated by previous lawsuit settlements.

my question to Any one on here would be ...who amongst you condones his actions or grieves for the poor BILLIONAIRE who is forced to sell his team at 50 times what he payed for it ,all the while mismanaging it into the laughingstock of the league for 30 yrs..?

If your a public figure like an owner of an NBA team and you spout racist garbage your going to get flak for it either way, even if there is or isn't some imaginary blackmail scam. Its a GREAT thing some piece of human garbage like that has this happen to him.

As far as people saying hes entitled to his opinion, he makes his money on the people he is racist towards. IDC about your opinions but racism in general is like riding horses for transportation, its a dead thing that has no place in this day and age. No matter if its in private or public, that's karma biting him in the arse

Donald Sterling said as of 30 minutes ago via phone interview that his team is not for sale nor will it be. I'm from LA, I knew his son...Trust me when I say that Donald Sterling is a litigious man and not just because he is a lawyer. He is not rich because he owns the clippers, he owns the clippers because he is rich. He owns most of Beverly Hills, and half the high-end apt. buildings in Los Angeles and many in New York. This guy would rather take a sinking, broken and hated team to the grave, then sell it. There is a reason he has been an NBA owner longer than anybody else in the NBA. Not a partner or partial owner, but full owner. This is not the first time someone has tried to buy or take the team from him. So if anyone thinks this is going to be a swift and quick process, you can change gears and prepare to watch a long drawn out process. And if it does come down to 22 team owners voting on forcing the sale of his team...who do you think he is going to sell it to. He's going to give it to his wife or daughter (whose husband basically runs the day to day operations) and end of story. He no longer owns it (legally) but technically never gets striped of it because it remains in his family. But, let's see. That is my prediction.

they can, and will, strip him of all of all ownership rights...this is a publicly funded FRANCHISE.. not a singley owned company ..he has to abide by NBA rules to remain viable...he may tie up monitary ownership in court ,but he is done:) the NBA can and will come in ,take over management and wait for him to die:headbang2
